3 Years DBA Program


The UBDP 3 years DBA Programs are a structured degree program requiring minimum 100 credit points for candidates who possess Masters Degree in Economics, Business Management, Accounts or equivalent stream coupled with 5 years experience at top management level. 4 Years DBA Programs


However, those who hold accredited Bachelor or Masters in other stream will have to undergo 4 years Integrated DBA with 196 credit points with the following curriculum. It is relevant to note that, in the integrated DBA, only first 4 semesters are extra while semesters 5-8 are typical to 3 years DBA.

At the end of each semester, there shall be appropriate reviews by the Academic Committee to determine the competency of the student to move to next levels.

As regards Doctoral Dissertation courses, which consists of two segment viz. Pre-Doctoral and Public defense Doctoral Dissertation. It is mandatory that, every student should achieve the passing grade to move to next stage on a comprehensive review about the research project by the Academic Committee. Therefore, no formal public defense is required at Pre-Doctoral level unless the UBDP Academic Committee specifically feels so.

Once dissertation or research project is complete, then the student shall present the Thesis to the review of the Doctoral Research Award Committee (DRA Committee). On satisfactory review and clarification, if any, by the Research Student, the DRA Committee shall schedule a public defense 30 days from the date of the Dissertation. The successful defense of the project shall qualify the Research Student for the title of Doctor of Business Administration (DBA). The defense shall be conducted at the respective Main Training Campus (MTC) or at the University Head Quarters at Ras Al Khaimah, UAE as may be convenient to the student and DRA Committee.
